Department of Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language (TAFL)
The department was founded in 1984. At present, the staff consists of 2 Professors, 4 Associate Professor, 1 Assistant Professors, 4 Research Assistants. It is necessary to complete preparatory class successfully or pass the exemption exam in order to start BA program.
The aim of this program, which has about 250 students, is to equip students with Arabic linguistics, literature and language teaching as well as to provide them with a qualification of teaching at primary and secondary schools.
Graduates from this program become Arabic teachers. In addition, they can work in different ministries such as Ministry of Culture and Tourism or Foreign Affairs, and other state or private institutions.
Both M.A. and Ph. D. programs are carried out in accordance with the regulations of the Institute of Educational Sciences.
